Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to complete the online instructor training?
The instructor training takes approximately 5 hours to complete.
Do I have to do the whole instructor training all at once?
No. You can do the instructor training at your own pace. The website will automatically “save your place” as you proceed through the training.
Can I receive credit for doing the instructor training?
Yes. ADAP offers continuing education credit when you complete the online instructor training. We provide a certificate of completion which can be presented to your state or educational agency. In a number of states, this counts towards continuing education hours. It may be helpful to verify this within your own state if there is a question.
What is the purpose of the pre-tests and post-tests?
The purpose of the Adolescent Depression Knowledge Questionnaire (ADKQ) pre-tests and post-tests are to assess the effectiveness of the student curriculum in changing high school students’ knowledge of and attitudes about the illness.
Where should I send the pre-tests and post-tests?
Please mail the tests to ADAP at:
Adolescent Depression Awareness Program
Johns Hopkins Hospital
600 North Wolfe Street, Meyer 3-181
Baltimore, MD 21287-7381
What if I want to know how well my students did learning the ADAP student curriculum?
Please contact ADAP and we will provide you with a brief summary report which analyzes the results of your students’ responses on the ADKQ.
